Does anyone have experience mixing chicken feed from whole grains? We are going to try it, just looking for some pointers. We found a good Organic source to buy whole grains from.

We've thought about this and I'll be curious what you come up. Are you planning to buy from Azure Standard?
We used to buy from Azure, they recently reduced the size of the chicken feed layer pellets from 50 pounds to 40 pounds. Them they raised the price, so we are a little disappointed with them right now.
I did make contact with an organic grower west of here which sells whole grains. Oat, barley, and hard wheat. I just need to figure out the ratios for adaquate nutrition.
