They are both boys.
Now, the biggest obstacle would be fencing an area for them. So, instead of buying us pretty dishes or silverware... our guests should get us fencing materials! Yay for problem solving!

You are cracking me up. My girlfriend would kill me if I did this. She's threatened me after all my attempts to convince her that goats are a good idea. And, seriously, I don't think you want two boy goats. Get one doe and a wether male. He won't be stinky that way.

Boy goats that aren't fixed pee on themselves to smell good for the girls during mating, and thats why they smell bad. If you get two boy goats just make sure they're fixed, thats what a wether is. Our first two goats were wethers and they were bottle raised and they are the sweetest friendliest goats ever. The one thing that we did learn from the experience though was that Nubian goats are loud. They would stand on the front porch, because we didn't have good fencing, and yell all day till we would come out to be with them. Also when you get goats make sure that you have a lot of different things for them to eat. Goats are browsers, they like to taste everything.
Hello Kelsi, Two boy goats is not good unless one or both are wethers meaning fixed. That is why those two very beautful goats are cheap. How old are those two goats. Speaking from experience never take a kid (baby goat) from the mother till 4 months old. Their immune systems are not developed as of yet and in most cases they die when you take them from mother unless they have been bottle fed from birth and in that case you usually pay more. Goats need vaccines. Also it is a good idea to take to a Vet and if you cannot afford it take a stool sample at least. Goats die from parasites if not treated and they have to many. Goats can die grazing on grass alone. They are brush eaters. They need lots of weeds, bushes and trees to nibble on. You must also provide hay daily. I provide mine various ones along with peanut hay. If you have an area that needs cleared they will do that. You must first google poisonus plants to goats and make sure you have none in your yard cause they will eat them even though they are bad. Many people have lost goats by not knowing that the Azaleas in their yard are very very very poisonus to goats. Also must provide a mineral and vitamin block, and a quality feed for them. I use purina noble goat feed rotating between the medicated goat feed and goat chow. A fenced in area for your goats is very important to keep them out of trouble. They are very playful and need toys like spools, stumps, logs or a balance beam to play on. They will entertain and love you. I love my goats and would never do without them. No boy goats at my house only girls. They are so much joy. My first goats I purchased I lost because I did not educate myself and was sold babies that were sick. FIFTEEN HUNDRED dollars later they were dead and I still had to pay the vet that 1500. Males are stinky cause they do pee all over themselves. Their chins,bellies, everything to attract the females. I am not trying to talk you out of goats just don't want you to go thru the heartbreak of falling in love with a goat or goats you get to have your heart broken due to losing them. Get a goat book. According to the craigslist post, these two cuties are indeed wethers! I actually contacted the people who were selling them and they said they had already sold them. Sad day for me! Perhaps, one day we will have a sweet pair of goaties to love.
You will need very good fencing. Goats are like monkeys and can climb or jump amazing places. If you get bog goats you will want to have them fixed... weathered, or you will have to put up with two stinky bucks that pee on themselves.
You should go to some goat shows (4-H, call the extension office for dates) and meet children and families who raise goats and find out all about them before you bring some home.
Every time I loved and gave goat hugs to my goaties this week I thought of you. I am sending you wishes of finding the perfect dwarf female goaties that you can share in the joy of owning a goat. You and Mike are wonderful people and I am sure that you will get perfect goaties. Dwarf Pygmy's are great goats. Small, Durable, Friendly, and can provide a half a gallon of milk a day if in season. I have a pygmy and she is so sweet and loving. Most of all because she is small she is very easy to take care of. Easy to handle when trimming her hooves, etc......
Oh Barbara, you are so sweet to think of us. Mike said that we should wait until he is finished with nursing school to make sure that we have the money to give them everything they need and want. However, im not sure I can wat two years. UGH.. if only we could fine some cheap fencing...
Hope you found yourself some sweet dairy goats. Goats really are a lot of fun. I always thought they were like having some big dogs. I would like to get some goats (two) again, but I don't really know if I want to milk them twice a day. Lazy me.
