I planted this patch of 30 garlic cloves this past fall. Now it's not in the best place in terms of companion gardening. I want to move it. Can you transplant garlic? Or will it kill the plant? I looked online and couldn't find anything conclusive.

I have not transplanted garlic, but just was saying today that THIS year we are planting some! Thanks for showing yours... I'm going to research it, too!
Go for it, we transplant garlic all the time. Almost every year a few that we missed in the previous seasons bed can be seen sprouting and we move them. We did so just yesterday.:) When you transplant, take the tip of your index finger and push the bottom part of the roots down and the garlic will follow, this way the roots are not all bunched up at the top and it will grow better...good luck and happy planting.
Never tried it myself, but I've seen nurseries selling started garlic, so I don't see why not!
